It’s worse than you think. Perhaps the MAIN reason people even used this site for (searching for files from other public users) is now GONE. You can only search your own files, or obtain download links from other users, but if you don’t know any other users, how the hell is that supposed ot work, right? These assholes pulled a Ulotz.to, and now all this shithole is marginally good for is file storage only - no more sharing *unless you KNOW other users personally to swap URLs).

I will be canceling my premium account as I only liked FileFactory for the search (other people’s files) function.

Forget about ever again searching for files from other public users, folks. We are fucked. According to their AI chatbot :
The search function was removed during the FileFactory v2.0 relaunch to simplify file transfers. However, the ability to search your own files has been restored.
FileFactory is developing a feature that will allow you to create secure upload links for others to send files directly to you. This will simplify collecting files from clients or team members.
Currently, the platform focuses on secure file sharing up to 5GB, including end-to-end encryption and password protection. There isn't a general search function to find files uploaded by other users.
I understand your frustration regarding the removal of the public search function. I've connected you with the FileFactory team who can provide more detailed information and discuss your concerns further. They will get back to you shortly.
So that’s it, folks. Unless you actually have a need for file storage that is not local (HDDs,SSDs, flash drives, etc), File Factory is DEAD.

I am just glad I found out for sure that they destroyed the only decent feature on the entire site BEFORE I wasted my money on extended Premium packages. File Fuckery can burn in Hell along with all of its AI garbage and the inbred fuckheads who sabotaged it, taking something that worked fine and “just had to” go and ”improve” it for no goddamned good reason except more Orwellian control and “muh kopeerite pruhtekshun” bullshit.
I used to use a site called Ulotž·to for file sharing/searching/downloading. But as of December 2023, they did away with all the ability to search or download anything other than one’s own files. Can’t even share with direct URLs anymore, so even if Tom said to Harry, “I will send you the direct URL for my file so you can download it”, it won’t work. And it sounds like that is what File Fuckery is doing, despite the claims of being able to download with a URL provided by the person who has the file. That only works if you KNOW EVERYBODY WHO USES THE SITE, and KNOW WHAT FILES THEY HAVE to share.
Somebody at the top is getting their dick sucked, cos it makes no sense why a company would destroy the best things about a service they provide that people actually like, and change it into a dysfunctional pile of garbage that no one has any real use for anymore. Someone is not only getting their dicks sucked, but also getting backroom paydays from corporate overlords, so they don’t need us and our money anymore. That’s fine. We don’t need these cocksuckers either.
There are plenty of other transparent (honest/straight-forward) cloud and file-storing/sharing services out there, folks, if that’s what you need (though, I recommend keeping your own local storage, HDDs/SSDs/flash drives, etc, and stop relying on these assholes who can pull the rug out from under you at anytime like FF did). Go find one of them for your storage/private sharing purposes, and leave File Fuckery in the dust to rot and die like they deserve.
As for doing your own searches for stuff to download? Well, that search literally continues. I only know of 3 potential options (perhaps 2, cos one seems to be having an issue with its SSL certificate or something ; the site is constantly unreachable at the server end), but it’s such a shot-in-the-dark way of searching, cos there is no formal search engine at these outlets. You have to know what you’re looking for and do a web search with a popular search engine (Google, DDG, etc) and hope the keywords generate something available via these outlets.
